Our Assessment Services

  • Psychoeducational Assessments

Evaluating specific learning disabilities, attentional issues, memory abilities, and other strengths and areas of importance.

Psychological assessments are effective methods of identifying specific challenges and in developing a plan for treatment and therapy.

The purpose of a psychoeducational evaluation is to help provide an objective understanding of you or your child’s needs and strengths and weaknesses, as well as what type of intervention or approach is necessary. We administer multiple tests during an assessment which are designed to screen for issues including learning disabilities, developmental delays, processing disorders, and more. Every evaluation begins with a background interview and finishes with a report debrief outlining our findings.

Areas evaluated throughout the assessment process include: IQ, academic performance, executive functioning, social functioning, memory abilities, and more. This assessment typically includes a 2-hour background interview with the parents/guardians, three or four 2-hour testing sessions (child alone), and a 2-hour debrief session with the parents.

Costs start at $3000 and typically are billable to your private health benefits.

  • Autism Diagnostic Assessments

Evaluating the presence of autism spectrum disorder using a detailed background information questionnaire and an autism diagnostic observation scale, while also evaluating that within the psychoeducational assessment.

Autism Diagnostic Assessments expand on the psychoeducational assessment and include a more thorough background interview (Autism diagnostic Interview) and an additional assessment battery (Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale) to determine if autism is present for yourself or your child.

Costs start at $3400 and are typically billable to your private health benefits.

  • Clinical Assessments

Clinical Assessments focus strictly on mental health diagnoses and do not evaluate ones IQ, academic performance, or other cognitive abilities. You will still be screened for cognitive concerns with the CNS Vital Signs Assessment which can provide a snapshot of visual and verbal memory, reaction time, reasoning ability, attention, executive functioning, and processing speed. You are provided with numerous screening questionnaires which you will discuss with the therapist to get an idea of your current functioning. Additionally, the therapist will conduct a thorough background interview with you to obtain an understanding of your life since childhood. This assessment typically is conducted over 2-3 appointments (1-2 hours each) with the 45-minute CNS Vital Signs assessment being completed at home (if you have a computer).

Costs start at $1620 and are typically billable through benefits.
